I am running QP 3.1.0.0. and SPP 6.0, Build 18089 on Windows XP Pro.
I update daily through SPP. For the last few days, I have had a
problem. The data is retrieved from QP just fine. But when I get to
the Quotes Plus Update screen, the message says: "Optimizing your
data files; please wait." The line "Processing Item:" is blank. This
screen never changes. I have left the computer on for as much as an
hour. Doing a CTRL-ALT-DEL shows about 50% of my processor CPU is
being used [no other programs are open or running]. I finally cancel
the program at this screen. No data gets updated.
What is happening here, and how do I fix it? I have never had this
problem before.
Please don't tell me the only solution is a reinstall! All of my data
and program files are backed up, in case there is one or more that I
need to overwrite with an older copy.
